Opening of Kootenai County's 1st Off-leash Dog Park!
Grand Opening & Leash Cutting
Monday (Labor Day), September 6th, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Leash Cutting at noon. Bring the pooches!

Intersection of Atlas Road and Nez Perce Drive, in Coeur d’Alene – Adjacent to Northshire Park. Hotdogs and beverages will be available.

Meet the Breed/Responsible Dog Owner Day
Saturday, September 11th, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m
Downtown Park 6th and Sherman, Coeur d’Alene

Kootenai County Search and Rescue Dogs will be honored at the opening. Demonstrations and contests throughout the day. Vendors will be present.

Come learn about different breeds, varied activities you can do with your dog(s), how to be a responsible dog owner, honor our Search and Rescue dogs and have fun!


Social Dog Walk
Saturday, September 18th, 3:00 pm
English Point, Hayden Lake

Easy walk under 2 miles on level dirt trail. Please see Places to Walk/Hike for directions. Dogs must be on leashes. Please bring bags for doo. This is an at your own risk event. Yappy Hour to follow at Daanen’s Delicatessen.


Valley Fest
Sunday, September 26th, 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

It is AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day. Fun day for dog lovers with several dog clubs and rescue groups represented, along with Spokane area animal shelters, events and vendors. Lots to see. For more information www.valleyfest.org/event/activity/dogday.
