Farragut State Park
Located 30 miles north of Coeur d’ Alene on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille. Facilities at park include 4 campgrounds (3 with water and electricity at sites), shower houses, an RV dump station, several day-use and group areas, boat ramp, and 45 miles of maintained trails. Pets must be kept on a leash. Please check with destination park staff for local restrictions.

Heyburn State Park
South of Coeur d’ Alene on Hwy 95 approximately 34 miles to Plummer, then approximately 5 miles east. The park includes three lakes; Chatcolet, Benewah, and Hidden Lakes (converges with Lake Coeur d’ Alene). Campsites have full hook-ups, dump stations, rental cottages & cabins, boat ramps, and trails (one of the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes’ trailheads is located in Chatcolet Day Use Area of park). Pets must be

Priest Lake State Park
Priest Lake State Park is located north of Coeur d’Alene, just 30 miles from the Canadian Border. The park is 12 miles north of Coolin, Idaho and sits along the eastern shore of the lake that is known as “The Crown Jewel of Idaho.”
The PLSP consists of 3 units - Dickensheet, Indian Creek, and Lionhead. (Both Indian Creek and Lionhead are located on the shore of Priest Lake.) These units offer 151 campsites, 5 camping cabins, and a group camp, with its own private beach. Sites with electricity-water hook ups are available. Facilities include: showers, flush toilets, dump station, boat ramps and docks. From PLSP there is easy access to a variety of hiking trails, including Hunt Lake, Standard Lakes and Lookout Mountain.
Indian Creek and Lionhead Campgrounds both have dog beaches. When not in the water at the dog beaches, pets must be kept on a leash. Please check with destination park staff for local restrictions.
