Girls Scouts help with new dog park.

The CdA City Council approved the Cherry Hill Dog Park off 15th Street and opening activities are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30th from 12 to 3 pm.   Come out with your canine buddies to enjoy the new off-leash park and celebrate the opening of the second dog park in Kootenai County!

The Cherry Hill location comprises 2/3 of an acre just north of the tennis courts. It is fully fenced with an entry bull pen, small dog section, benches, a pet drinking fountain, pet waste cans, and includes shrubs and trees.  Volunteers helping with planting the new dog park included Girl Scout Troop 3003 (shown), Cub Scout Pack #210 and the LCHS Environmental Club.

The Kootenai County Dog Park Association is a non-profit citizens group formed for the purpose of creating dog parks funded with private donations. Please note that no tax payer funds are used to build our community’s dog parks.  Visit http://www.kcdogpark.com/ to read more.

The new off-leash dog park is located just north of tennis courts at Cherry Hill Park, 1525 E Hazel Avenue (off 15th), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  For more Cd’A parks information: www.parks.cdaid.org.
